Can we say POTTY TRAINING!!

Holy Cow! I was not expecting this one to happen for a long time! We have
had a crazy week so far, Little Q has had RSV and has been in and out of Dr Apts
and at home and yeah just crazy! So on Monday afternoon Reese came in with her
panties and said " mommy I don't want to wear diapers anymore" so what did
I do, I put the panties on her and took a picture. Why did I not blog about it earlier?
Oh because I was not sure that she really was going to do this. We have had 3 night
times in panties and NO ACCIDENTS in bed! The only ones she has had are when
she needs to poop and can't squeeze enough to get to the potty, but really she only
tinkles a tiny bit! I am so dang excited! She even wears panties to bed without
pullups or anything! Yeah for Reese!

BANG!

So there comes a time when a mamma feels like she needs to
defend her CHICKS, and yes that time has come! I have wanted to get
me concealed weapons license before and had not done anything
about........til now. Oh that is right my mom and I went down and signed
up, and not only did we sign up but we got practically the whole fam
too as well. Dad didn't want to be an influence on us so what did he do?
typical dad thing "you guys go down by yourselves and find a gun
that fits you best and try them out", so that is just what we did. We
went down and shot for a good two hours and have our course
lined up on tues. I am so excited for this! You may think i am crazy
but I have been home alone with a;ll of my kiddos when our home
security was breeched. This was one of the scariest nights ever and
I will not be in the helpless position again. So this is us at the range getting
ready for our first run! It actually went alot better than i had expected!

SURPRISE!

So this was one of the funnest weekends EVER! There have been some AWESOME ones too but this is definitely up there!
For those who don't know, my older sister is 15 months older. The eleventh was her 30th birthday and surprisingly my mom and Erin and I have NEVER EVER gone ANYWHERE by ourselves. Mom and I were on the phone trying to figure out what we were going to do to make it EXTRA special for her and decided to take her out on a TRIP. The options were endless and we talked it over with her HUBBY and decided we were going to NEW ORLEANS! This has actually great history behind this. We have one of my closest FRIENDS that LIVES there and have not seen her since before NUMERO five came along. So We called her up and told her not to get her hopes too high, just in case. All was good and her hubby was so supportive of the whole idea,so we got tickets and started the planning.
The BEST part was that she had ABSOLUTELY no idea that anything was going on. I made sure by not talking to her for two days prior so that I would not SLIP! We hid in her kitchen at ELEVEN at night, told her she had 10 MINUTES to pack for cold whether. She was FREAKING out had no idea what to think of the whole thing.
We got into NEW ORLEANS at 7:30 on Friday morning and immediately started running around! Teddi picked us up and she was so DANG excited
to see us all too! The weekend ended up
to be filled with antique shopping,
boutique shopping, CRAZY people watching, GIGGLING, and all out fun!
I love my sister so much and hope that
she had as much FUN as I did and made
up some HUGE memories that hopefully
will never be forgotten! She means so
much to me! I have felt so much CLOSER
to her, my mom and Teddi. I am truly
grateful for times like these that
help to brig us all closer and create
memories that are PRICELESS!

Wham!

Oh yes it is also again another attempt to find a sport that my boys enjoy. This time I think we have finally found one, oh yea its BASKETBALL! They really seem to enjoy it. Chase came in this morning and asked me if he can always play basketball. Heck yea I told him. Anyways I think they looked pretty dang cute in there uniforms too!

I know it doesn't look like it here but this was the first game and Rhett was still slightly confused at what was going on. I guess you forget that they don't just know they actually have to learn. Well this mornings game was much better than the others they both made a few baskets and were a TON more confident.

Forgot to mention........Antabiotic FREE!

December of 2005 my sweet little Reese was about six months old and I had taken her in to the doctor on a Monday and he told me she looked fine but if she started a high fever to bring her back, well that night is when she started running a fever. My Reese got up to about 102.5 when I decided to bring her back in. She had been really fussy and not sleeping, pretty much she seemed just sad and unhappy with anything. I took her in and Dr. Mike, if any of you have him I love him he is great, and he took her temp looked at her, left the room and came back in and said....
"I have just called down to mesa Lutheran and they are expecting you now. Don't go home, go straight there your baby is sick.
I think she either has meningitis or a really bad UTI."
Well this was really alot to take in so I called my mom and she was on her way there to meet me and Randalls mom was on her way to take the kids. So I went down there and waited and after four attempts at drawing her blood and the setup for a
spinal tap they got blood and urine......feeeeeuw! They tested both and found that she had a kidney infection, it was not ever a UTI, yep kidneys.
This situation led to a year and a half of tests and caths and lots of
drugs, everyday in fact she would take antibiotics.
Well on May 29, 2007 Reese went in for surgery and had a billaderal uriter re implantation. I don't think there is anything that can prepare you for the way it feels to have your baby taken from your arms, and praying that Heavenly Father knows that you could not handle it if something were to happen to her. I t is a very eery feeling and you feel as though you are watching yourself go through this. This was scary, and so hard to see your precious angel baby this way. I was six and a half months pregnant with Quincy, number five, And it was my birthday the next day! We stayed for three nights and brought her home, safe but cranky with a scar that looks like she had a c-section. She was still on antibiotics until November 17, 2007.......Yeah!!!!! So now we move on and hope there are no more issues! All in all I am glad that my sweet Reese is still here and now healthy and normal.

Santa BABY!

Oh yes Santa Clause showed up at my mom and dads! How lucky were we! Chase and Rhett were a little skeptical at first but then they tugged on the beard and pulled the hair and finally figured out, that yea it really was SANTA!
Kali Ray! Yep she of course really liked him! Any Male for that matter he is her newest and best friend! Can we all say SCARY! I love the kid for the same reason she drives me nuts, She has NO FEAR!!
Oh you think she is trying to, oh I don't know, LATCH ON! Yeah cause she was! As soon as he took her she cozied in and instantly thought food was on its way! You would not know it cause the kid is so dang small be she really does like food, A LOT!
Yea she too was a little scared at first and wouldn't smile, and really never really warmed up to the beard and fuzzy pants!
Oh Rhett! Love him and love that he questions EVERYTHING! Oh yeah if you tell him something new, he already knows. He new it was SANTA and new he didn't smile, oh yea he already knows whatever you are telling.

SOOOOOO Dang Busy!

Well It has been way to long and I cannot even tell ya where the time has gone! Xmas has already passed and it is new years! CRAZY! Well thought that I would share some of our pics

Memories, Memories!
Here is a great one!
So this last pregnancy I went in to see Dr. Seal at his office and he had waited until my 13 week checkup because I had miscarried so much, this was safer. Anyhoo in his office they have these neat gowns instead of the great paper ones. They are Mauve, and have REALLY tight Velcro down the front. So I don't know anyone that is cozy waiting for the dr to come in knowing that yea you are stark NAKED under the gown. I am now a real modest person but even I get on edge. So my Dr is slightly serious so when I see him I always break the ice first, in this instance this was the conversation.......
me "well hi, do you like my dress?"
dr "lovely isn't it?"
me "if you would like I could tell you where to get one for your wife."
dr "chuckle,chuckle"


he come around the front of me listening to my chest and heart, then scoots right in front of me as says "alright Emily open up"
So I then proceed to RIP open the front of my gown, so oh yea they are lookin right at him!
Dr. "oh no sweetheart I need to see your throat!"
So needless to say a very neatly grab both sides of the gown and closed it ever so tightly and tried to change the subject without laughing at myself!

Holy HANNA MONTANNA!

Can you say the best seats ever?! Our RAD uncle,well my husbands twin, called last night, yea the night of, and got us front row seats! We thought they were good but come on the front row! Rex you ROCK! And Kali knows you do too!

We are all so dang excited! I think I may have been more than Kali and Syd!

One more shot of the beautiful teenage concert queen! Can you seriously imagine being her how hectic life is already and on top of it being the biggest teen super star ever! So just when you thought that this was not exciting enough I have more!
So the second to last song came on and Kali and Tatum and Syd had a necklace that we had made for Miley and the whole concert they tried and tried to give it to her. Finally we got frustrated and tossed it on stage. Oh yea she saw it and made a surprised little noise, but I think we noticed cause we saw her pick it up and take to the back at the last song. So we thought the concert was over and we sat down to let the crowd die down a bit and she came back out to sing a song for her "Papa" and she winked and waved at all the little ones that we were with and oh yea you guessed it, gave Kali her guitar pick! She tried to hand it to her and couldn't reach so I tried to get it for her and it fell! Then she pointed to the security guard and told him to get it for her! How cool was that!
